Yoga Film in Norwich

Inrerested in Yoga. Now the Norwich Spiritual Cinema House at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Norwich is showing the film "Yoga Unveiled" at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The objective is that people can understand the true essence of Yoga. The film is attempts to illuminate the yoga as it creators understood it thousands of years ago.

Vivekanada Yoga University lecture in Minnesota

N.V. Raghuram, international coordinator for Vivekanada Yoga University in Bangalore, India, lectured on the "Science of Yoga" in the Minnesota Commons room of the center.

The university's use scientific research to examine thebenefit of yoga , more than 5,000-year-old Indian philosophy. According to Raghuram,Vivekanada probably is the first university of its kind in the world.

Since 1985, the organization has been working in direction ofscientific research on yoga
and published studies indicating that yoga has been shown to improve asthma, memory, stress management and helped women suffering from breast cancer.

The university has also treated more than 100,000 patients exclusively with yoga therapy at its hospital, he said.

Although some consider yoga to be mainly a form of exercise, Raghuram explained that physical activity really is a small part of yoga, and those who perceive it only as exercise underrate yoga and themselves."Yoga is the conscious journey from doing to being."


Jennifer Aniston in Yoga Video

Jennifer Aniston who loves doing yoga for 3 times a week is coming in photo for a companion piece.Yoga enthusiast Jennifer is producing a video starring her friend, MANDY INGBER, and will even pose for pictures to promote the project. The 37-year-old FRIENDS star practises yoga three times a week and jumped at the chance to help her pal with the video for US fitness publication Self's website. Jennifer won't be appearing in the actual video, however she will be in photos for a companion piece that will run in the December (06) issue of the magazine.
