No cure for cancer in Yoga
According to experts that only modern medicine could cure cancer that too if the disease is detected at an early stage.Also there was no cure for cancer either in yoga or in any other alternative therapy. This is contrary to the claims of celebrity yoga trainer that they can cure cancer.
The Associate Professor at endocrine and breast surgery department at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (Lucknow), Dr Gaurav Agarwal said that there was no cure of cancer in yoga.
“Yoga can play a vital role in care of cancer but it cannot be a treatment modality,” claimed Dr Agarwal. He said that those claimed to cure cancer through yoga were playing with the life of patients.
Dr. Agarwal said that the treatment modalities in medical science were based on evidences. “But yoga gurus have got no evidence to prove their claim to cure cancer,” he claimed.
“Rather such claims of yoga practitioners distract the patients from proper treatment due to which the cancer gets advanced,” he said. He said that yoga could play a vital role in care of cancer patients and could improve their quality of life.
