Yoga Journal will Increases Frequency of publication
Yoga Journal announced that as of January 1, 2007, it will increase its publishing
frequency from seven to eight issues per year, and increase its rate base
to 350,000.
As per Spring 2006 MRI study, the number of people practicing yoga has increased 136% since 2001, making yoga the fastest growing sport in America.
16.5 million people now practice yoga in the U.S. As the yoga market
continues to grow, so has the demand for trustworthy information, " says
Bill Harper, publisher of Yoga Journal. "Our new publishing schedule and
rate base increase will satisfy both reader and advertiser demand."
Yoga Journal was recently acquired by Active Interest Media, Inc. (AIM), the consumer enthusiast media company whose holdings include Vegetarian Times, Better Nutrition, Southwest Art, and The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show(R), the largest boat show in the world.
